In a nutshell,
We are raising funds to support young leaders of social initiatives working locally in Ukraine. We will provide monthly scholarships, mentorship, and network to help leaders scale up their projects and make an impact.
🪴 What cause are you supporting?
War in Ukraine has been going on for a year. Governments, international organisations, and volunteers are working to provide an immediate response. At the same time, long-term goals are still “on pause”, and small local initiatives are underfunded. We are bridging this gap.
SUN Leaders Program is a 6-months Fellowship Program for young leaders of social projects in Ukraine.
We support Ukrainians working on projects in the spheres of education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, equality, sustainable cities, and EU integration of Ukraine.
Concept validation: our partners Leaders Fund ran a similar program in 2019-2020. The previous three fellows supported were able to scale their project nationwide and impact 240,000 people, win grants, hire new team members, launch a social enterprise, and partner with the government and businesses. After the Program, one of the leaders started working for WHO in Ukraine, another got shortlisted in BBC book contest.
We provide them with:
- 💶 financial assistance — so leaders can focus on their project, and not have to work three jobs;
- 🙌 mentorship and network — for leaders to grow their projects and help more people on the ground.
We are fundraising €300,000 to run SUN Leaders Program for 50 leaders and their projects in 2023.

⚙️ How does it work?

The formula is: consultation for donation.
- You, an expert, offer private consultations for donation to SupportUkraineNow. We ask you to share this with your network.
- The client donates to SUN Leaders Program campaign, and emails us with their request at [email protected] to book your time.
- We help organize the call for the expert and the client. How — we’ll discuss with you, to fit your schedule and preferred tools.
- We, SUN team, use the donated funds to run the Program supporting young leaders of social initiatives working locally in Ukraine.
❇️ What are the advantages for me to join as an expert and to share this with my network?
- Showcase your expertise to your audience in a non-sales-y way.
- Make meaningful connections with new clients, add to your portfolio of projects, and grow your professional network of fellow experts.
- If you were looking for a way to help Ukrainians and Ukraine (or have already done so), joining SupportUkraineNow is a great way to get involved.
- We show a track record of successful projects.
- The project we are currently fundraising for, SUN Leaders Program, is an opportunity to influence 1M+ lives (math is based on the program we piloted).
- You’ll be able to contribute to long-term change in the country. In 10 years, one of the leaders we support might be president, and you’ll be able to say “hey I helped that leader grow when he/she was working on one of their first projects”.
- Be an example to your audience of how everyone can support a social cause, whether with money, time, expertise, or attention. As we say at SUN, every seed matters 🌻
We don’t see those as disadvantages, but there are things to keep in mind:
- You probably have a lot going on, and you will need to allocate a certain amount of your hours to the campaign. Make sure you have these hours, we don’t want to overwork you.
- People might ask you “Why are you supporting Ukraine and not other causes?” You may have your own reasons for this. Maybe you’ve supported other causes in the past, and now you want to support Ukraine; maybe you’ve been to Ukraine, fell in love with our country and it’s dear to your heart; maybe your friend is Ukrainian and through them you feel for the whole nation; or maybe it’s because we reached out to you and other haven't. Be aware that these questions might be asked, and listen to your heart when you answer it :)
- The person booking a consultation might not use the knowledge you would offer best, but the donation itself makes a reasonable filter.
We ask you to donate 3 hours of your time to us over the next month. It can be three 1-hour consultations.
This can be discussed case by case. If you’re able to offer only 1 consultation, or you want to offer 3 consultations per month over the next year, — we will work it out!
The target donation for your consultation is €500. It can be higher or lower in each case.
For example, your regular consultation costs €1,000. You can offer one of such consultations for a donation to SupportUkraineNow on your regular rate. Or you can offer a consultation “with a discount” for a €700 donation to SupportUkraineNow.

Within one month.
Of course, the sooner the better — the client reaching our with a request probably needs you right away. But we understand you may be busy, so please make sure you’re able to schedule the consultation for a date within one month from when we contact you with a client’s request.

Book a consultation with me and support a social cause.
