Key Highlights

Davos

World Economic Forum

Davos

The participation of Support Ukraine Now (SUN) at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2022 in Davos demonstrated how a civic initiative can operate with precision within global decision-making environments. Through a deliberately structured advocacy campaign, SUN positioned Ukraine not as a passive recipient of aid, but as an active architect of resilience-driven coordination. Its engagement with heads of state, senior government officials, business leaders, and international organizations was focused and outcome-oriented, shaping a shared understanding of both the urgency and systemic nature of the challenges at hand. Crucially, SUN translated dialogue into execution by facilitating tangible partnerships—moving beyond expressions of solidarity toward coordinated resource allocation, the launch of joint initiatives, and sustained commitments to Ukraine's support and recovery. In doing so, SUN functioned as a strategic interface between high-level advocacy and the operational delivery of solutions.

Munich

Security & Diplomacy

Munich

At the Munich Security Conference 2026 in Munich, Support Ukraine Now (SUN), represented by the Global Shapers Lviv Hub, assumed a co-organising role that extended beyond convening into agenda-setting. Through the design and delivery of a high-level side event, SUN positioned Ukraine not only within the security discourse, but as a contributor to its structural redefinition. The initiative curated a focused dialogue among policymakers, security experts, and cross-sector leaders, ensuring that discussions moved from abstract risk assessment to actionable frameworks. By anchoring the conversation in lived wartime realities and forward-looking recovery imperatives, SUN facilitated alignment on priorities that cut across defence, resilience, and institutional capacity. Its role as co-organiser enabled the translation of strategic narratives into operational pathways, reinforcing its function as a bridge between global security deliberations and the practical implementation of coordinated responses.

European Youth Event

European Parliament, Strasbourg

European Youth Event

As part of SUN's Leaders Program in Cherkasy, young civic leaders were supported to attend the European Youth Event (EYE) at the European Parliament in Strasbourg — one of Europe's largest youth gatherings. The experience provided direct engagement with European policymakers, realistic parliamentary simulations, and cross-border networking with thousands of like-minded young leaders. For SUN delegates, EYE served as both a proving ground and an accelerator: participants gained firsthand insight into EU legislative processes, strengthened their advocacy skills, and built international connections that extend far beyond the event itself. This investment in emerging leaders reflects SUN's broader approach — equipping Ukrainian youth not merely to observe European institutions, but to actively participate in shaping their agenda.
