These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website supportukrainenow.org ("Website") operated by Support Ukraine Now ("SUN", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. About Support Ukraine Now

Support Ukraine Now is a nonprofit initiative that connects international volunteers with Ukrainian civil society organizations (CSOs), runs the Leaders Program fellowship, and facilitates youth diplomacy efforts. Our mission is to support Ukraine through volunteer engagement and capacity building.

2. Use of the Website

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the Website in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information through any forms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Website or its systems
  • Use the Website to transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Website

3. Volunteer & Organization Registration

3.1 Volunteer Registration

By registering as a volunteer through the Volunteer4Ukraine program, you:

  • Confirm that the information you provide (name, email, country, skills, experience, etc.) is accurate and up to date
  • Consent to your profile being shared with Ukrainian CSOs for the purpose of volunteer matching
  • Understand that registration does not guarantee a volunteer placement
  • Agree to communicate respectfully with any organizations you are matched with

3.2 CSO / Initiative Registration

By registering your organization or initiative, you:

  • Confirm that you are authorized to represent the organization
  • Provide accurate information about your organization's mission and volunteer needs
  • Agree to treat matched volunteers with respect and professionalism
  • Understand that SUN facilitates introductions but does not control the volunteer–organization relationship

4. Matching Services

SUN provides a matching service to connect volunteers with CSOs based on skills, interests, and organizational needs. We act solely as a facilitator and:

  • Do not guarantee the quality, suitability, or availability of any volunteer or organization
  • Are not a party to any agreement between volunteers and organizations
  • Are not responsible for the conduct of volunteers or organizations
  • Reserve the right to remove any user or organization from the platform at our discretion

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of Support Ukraine Now or its content providers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written consent.

6. Donations

Donations to Support Ukraine Now are processed through OpenCollective. By making a donation, you agree to the terms and policies of OpenCollective. SUN does not store your payment information. All donations are voluntary and non-refundable unless required by law.

7. Privacy & Data Protection

7.1 Data We Collect

When you use our forms, we may collect:

  • Personal information: name, email address, country, languages spoken
  • Professional information: skills, industry experience, LinkedIn profile
  • Organization information: name, description, website, social media links

  • Facilitate volunteer-organization matching
  • Communicate with you about volunteer opportunities or program updates

  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your data from our systems
  • Unsubscribe from communications
